I have worked as a Peer Trainer at the college since we moved to Ashton in 2017. My role is really varied and I am able to use my own lived experience to contribute to all aspects of the courses we offer, from co-production to teaching. I consider it a privilege to work alongside the students who attend the college and I am often in awe of their determination to take charge of their own wellbeing. I can honestly say that I am one of those lucky people who can say that “I love my job!”
Family and friends are very important to me and I enjoy seeing them regularly. Being creative has been an important part of managing my mental health and my hobbies include everything from sewing to cake decorating.
